Danielle Bott Bottanical Garden Advice and Design Kent

You may be wondering why Bottanical with a double 'T' ? No its not a spelling mistake... my name is Danielle Bott

My interest in gardening and plants started as a young girl and comes from my mother and grandmother. I dug out and planted my own vegetable patch growing some of my favourite vegetables such as kohl rabi and carrots. I was also allowed a small section within our garden to plant shrubs and flowering perennials. Being outdoors is where I am my most happiest.

For the last 8 years I have been lucky enough to develop my knowledge a lot further, and what better way than managing a local plant nursery and landscaping company. Managing three acres of trees, shrubs, perennials, hedging, climbers and more was a great way to gain hands on practical experience. Learning more and more about different species and varieties, along with the many botanical names. It turns out I now know more botanical names than 'common names'.

Within this period we exhibited at The Hampton Court Palace Flower Show gaining a Silver Gilt medal for a Small Garden. A fantastic experience which I thoroughly enjoyed and hope to do again!

I have also gained my Garden Design and Maintenance Diploma.

I understand that majority of homeowners feel that Garden Design is an expensive service costing thousands, and mainly understood to be the whole garden. The services I provide make it possible and affordable. You do not have to have a full garden design.

My services are completely bespoke and can be tailored to your requirements. There are a few different levels. You don't have to change a whole garden to make a statement. You don't have to complete all the work at once, it can be staged over a period of time. Regenerating certain areas with a new planting scheme can make a huge impact to the garden overall. Adding new beds, planting for the surroundings (such as shade) so that the plants thrive, choosing a colour scheme or style and planting for interest throughout the seasons. With my expertise of many different plants we can work together to produce a garden you can enjoy all year round.

I also provide an advisory service, visiting your garden to answer any questions you may have. See the Home Advisory Service tab.
